    Light polishing cquartzuk-advice

Ok ive had my cquartzuk and reload on for about a year and still looks great but i would like to refreshen everything and deep clean the car without distubing the base cquk i have on it now. Coming home from a 3000 mile run to the NE from FL.

So whats the procedure? I know recently when i wanted to take off a cquk smear it took 105 and 205, so im thinking of doing the following:

Light passover with nanoskin prep towel snd soap
Megs 205 with griots orbital and green finishing pad
    Wash with RESET
    Reload with RELOAD....

    Any thoughts or advice?

How much polishing with 205 Glen? I couldn`t imagine CQ UK will withstand more than one or two passes of polishing without being severely degraded but I could well be wrong. Are you looking to remove minor scratches picked up along the way or would something like a paint cleaner with little to no cut be effective?

Dunno, was hoping to hear more here....as I said the 205 did not seem to make a dent on the smear that I tried to get off.....I had to go to 105 and a orange pad.... Don`t want an AIO.....

Lots of guts with the reload. I may have to polish mine cuz of it.

But in my mind I am wondering about something like pb pro polish or dp coating polish on a black pad and see what it does, you could go to white pad w no problem

I say that since you said you just wanted to clean it up, not necessarily remove.

UK may not stand up to polishing. It really shouldn`t be messed with until you are ready to recoat. If needed I would try something very light such as SF4500?

I`m sort of wondering if reload may have caused the other problems you had, so you may want to re-think.

Glen, do you have any BF GEP on hand? Might take a shot with that on a white pad?
