    Carpro Reset - opin?

I see it`s supposed to be used for cquartz and other coatings...

does it strip down to the CQ?
    does it strip reload?

who`s used it and what`s your opin?

Rest is pH-Neutral (7) and will not strip Reload or other waxes/sealants. I haven`t used it yet, but have a maintenance wash scheduled on a coated Subaru this weekend. I`d be happy to review it for you.

    Re: Carpro Reset - opin?

    I am using it Glen.

Reset doesn`t strip CQ or Reload that I am aware of. It is a PH balanced soap without the polymers and glossing agents of other soaps, so it rinses away cleanly.

My first use of Reset was actually something amazing for me. I had done CQUK to our VW in the fall last year. After making it through the winter I thought that the CQUK was almost gone on the lower half of the car due to snow, salt, grime. So I was going to do a prep wash, polish & re-coat with CQUK since I had a 1/3 of my 50ml bottle left. So before doing this I talked with Corey and he suggested trying Reset first, because I had used ONR, DG902, Megs Hyperwash, 1Z Perlz, etc as my car washes. He said that even though they are all good washes they let a lot of "Stuff" behind and that could be the problem. So I decided to move forward and wash my car in prep for re-coating.

I started washing and notice that all of a sudden the sides were looking brighter / cleaner and the water was rolling off like it did early on. Basically Reset stripped off all of the “stuff” from my other soaps, and I didn’t need to re-coat my car at all. Reset is a great soap for anyone using a coating on their vehicle. And since it is made to work with CQ it just makes sense to me. I will still use all of my other soaps as I like variety. But Reset will be in there to keep everything looking and beading correctly.

I will have a review at some point but I want to replicate and show on camera what I experienced and how it works compared to other soaps.

I have used reset a few times and I really enjoyed it. The soap is really easy to rinse off even after letting it bake in the sun. I did not see streaks from my experience.

I have yet to try it after applying CQUK, but I will be applying CQUK this weekend and I will find out shortly after

I`ve had the same experience as Troy but with an Opti Coated vehicle. Soap is really slick, doesn`t sud too much, smells like hair shampoo, high dilution ratio. Great stuff!

    Re: Carpro Reset - opin?

Have finally found Car Pro Reset a few months ago and using it on 3+ years Opti-Guard was easily the best soap for this coating that I have ever used..

It totally removed embedded in the coating junk and left the coating looking almost new again...

Each time I have used Reset, it keeps getting the coating looking better..

Not seeing any evidence of it damaging, removing, or otherwise doing anything negative to the coating..

Very easy to use, does not dry and streak, etc., lower foaming, very slippery, and even scrubbing the coating only made it better and left no damage to the coating...

Car Pro Reset will be my only product to use on my coated vehicle now and on any other coated vehicles coming by..

As has been said it`s a great soap. I snagged a sample bottle, used it once and immediately ordered a 1 liter bottle. I don`t use reset every wash as I do like the time saver rinseless.

For a rinseless on a coating I think your best bet is Meguiar`s D114 Rinse Free Express Wash. It`s not suppose to leave anything behind.

I use it quite often on my coated vehicles. But I also have and use ONR, ONRWW...

Thanks Troy, I actually still get a glass like look after 10s of duragloss rinseless washes, so I think I`ll stop overthinking this....got a gallon of DG rinseless now....

Duragloss is great, ONR (no wax) is another choice. But for the value you can`t beat duragloss rinseless

    Onr leaves gloss enhancers behind.

Best i know are the meguiars rinseless and the wolfs chemicals rinseless.
I always use the wolfs, as it is made to be used with coating and leaves nothing behind at all
