MF Chenille Sponge here. I never like putting my hand in mitts.

I really want to grab a couple Incredisponges.

Anything like the first picture/post or chenille fibers works great for my shop....

Tried a few microfiber mitts long ago when they first came out and hated them...

Perhaps the BMW version will be a much better version - I know that they sell some really great things (albeit expensive) in their parts department...

Man I am somewhat of a wash mitt aficionado...

    My favorites include-

The Aussie Merino Wash Mitt- the softest, plushes wash mitt available- my go to for delicate paints

The Lake Country Ultimate Wash Sponge- my regular choice. The gold foam is softer and holds more solution than a grout sponge, and the slotted tabs improve coverage and add safety.

Micro Chenille Wash Mitt- I use this interchangeably with Ultimate Wash Sponge, depending on what`s closer.

Supreme530 Microfiber Towel- I use this towel a lot, for rinseless or traditional washes. I really like using a towel to wash the paint post-polishing.

Sponges make me nervous! Todd, how easy is the LC Ultimate Wash Sponge to clean? I like the look of the hand grip - my GG wash mitts are getting old.

I`ve been using Adam`s wash pad for about 8 months now and really like it. It holds tons of solution.

I continue to use a natural sea sponge. They are soft, holds a lot of solution, but most importantly, I have yet to find a material that can release dirt and grit as effectively. And you can`t put your hand in it

Super easy, slosh it and massage it in a bucket of clean water, and you are done

I`ve been using two. First, my #1 go-to wash mitt:

    CarPro Wool Wash Mitt

Now, because of the upkeep of the wool mitt, though I like the feel more than microfiber wash mitts, I bought the Microfiber Madness Incredimitt.

^washing my car as seen in this review: http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/...credimitt.html

I feel they are the best wash mitts of their respective categories on the market today.

I was just eyeing up the lake country wash mitt in the store. I may give it a go. I still prefer a clean ultrasoft sheepskin wash mitt. Right now I am using a microfiber mitt. Does the job but still feel like it was a better and gentler wash with the merino wool.

Incredimitt and PBMG Micro Chenille for lower panels.

    Re: Your wash sponge/mitt/pad

For the bottom rocker panels, I use four thick soft MFT`s that are soaking in the wash bucket and toss `em in the laundry bucket after one wipe per clean side.

For the rest of the car, I use the $6 Megs fake wool mits. After 3 or 4 washes, I degrade them to wheels only and put new ones in rotation.

I wouldn`t mind doing the whole car with the MFT`s but that`s just too much laundry and extra water use.

Am I one of the few dinosaurs left that prefer a soft brush like OXO or Meguiar`s? I appreciate the two-bucket technique, but I think the brushes are perhaps a bit faster (and I use only one bucket), and I like the idea of sweeping away the dirt than wiping it off.

    Thoughts? Experiences?

Though I am an old dog, I can OCCASIONALLY learn new tricks....
