Just wodnering if there would be any poin in applying a hand glaze similar to 3M`s to my cars finish before sealing it all up with Klasse?

My 2002 is nearing the 1 year mark, so as soon as the weather gets nice, shes due for a full detail. I had previously been using Finish First with no complaints, but my supplies ran down and I decided to try some Klasse.

After stripping the paint with Dawn, and claying it followed by Dawn again, Id love to feed the paint a little. Even if AIO is a cleaner would it really pull all the glaze oils out of the paint? How about if it were used after AIO, but before or in combination with the SG? Do they do the same thing? Would it work, or would SG bonding be affected?

    Thanx in advance.

    AIO will remove it IHG.

    IHG will remove AIO.

SG would not bond properly to IHG.

Yeah, I wondered about IHG removing AIO too. I seem to remember that IHG was ultimately considered an abrasive (albiet light) and therefore I conclude that, if so, it will remove AIO somewhat.

Not to sound like Don2000g, but follow RH`s advice. Now only if Don will come help me get the swirls out of the ML

2008 C63, paint correction and clear bra removal

Client recently purchased this car and wanted to get it looking new again. The clear bra was yellowed and detracted from the cars appearance so we decided to remove it as well. The paint was in average condition for the year with moderate swirls and a few RIDS. The color made it very difficult to capture defects so you?ll have to take my word for it on the before condition.

    Process:
Wash - Foam bath with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash
Wheels ? Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner using various brushes.
    Tires ? Optimum Power Clean
Chrome tips ? Optimum Metal polish and #0000 steel wool
Paint correction step 1 ? Meguiar?s M105 via rotary polisher and LC PFW pads
Paint correction step 2 ? Meguiars M105 via DA polisher and tangerine LC pads
Paint correction step 3 ? Menzerna 106fa via rotary polisher and crimson LC pads
Paint protection ? Blackfire Wet Diamond
    Tires ? Meguiar?s Hyper Dressing at 3:1
Wheels ? Sealed with Optimum Opti-Seal
    Glass ? Meguiar?s D120

Before pics?.(hopefully you can see some of the swirls/marring)

    Yellowed Clear Bra

Door edges too?.I love clear bra!

    Swirls?.

50/50?.not that you can see much

Pillar trim showed the condition better

    Trim corrected

That is freakin niiice:thumbup: How did the PFW combo work out for you? I got a 09 E class to do this weekend and was wondering how hard the paints are on these cars, or like everything, does it vary? Just want to make sure I`m well prepped for the upcoming work.

    Thanks!

It may vary, but they are typically very hard! PFW worked great, but I still had to make more than one pass on a few areas.

You`re welcome I may have to look into buying more PFW pads. Hoping for things to go well since it`s never been touched, only washes.

Yeah, it was pretty rock hard. Hard to see the defects while working too.

Awesome job Chad. The MB looked amazing in the after pics. I know how hard it is to capture defects on light colored cars. Did you use the M105 instead of the D300 because of the hardness of the paint?
