Ok, so we are just getting started and we are just about ready to order our start up supplies. This is my current list, please let me know if we left anything out.

Shop Vac - I haven't looked to closely at these yet as I feel that are all pretty much the same. If someone has a recommendation on one, that would be great.

I would suggest a pad in between cut and finish. As for shop vacs, look at the HP rating. Size means nothing. If you don't get one with some boys downstairs your going to find yourself doing twice the work you should have to. Next, what interior cleaner will you be using? There a lot of good ones out there and many ways of going about it. I would also suggest starting out with a Little Green Machine as an extractor for carpet. Don't let the size and price fool you. These things work very well for cars with the right solution.

I'd highly recommend a RIDGID® or CRAFTSMAN® wet/dry vac...two of the best brands on the market. Both offer a wide variety of sizes, Peak HP and accessories to completely outfit your detailing business.

Agree on the shopvac and recommend the Rigid (at Home Depot) over craftsman and Lowes brand.

I can't say how long the Craftsman will last mine is only 34 years old and still runs strong. Check with me in another ten years.
