Well I haven't been on here lately, but my business has been up and running for 4 months now. And things have just started to pick up. I thank everyone on here for information, and advice. I turned down 2 auto body shops that wanted me to mainly do washes and interior's. I wanted to do this on my own, now I practice on paint correction, paint chips, polishing, etc.
Whenever not washin/ waxin I pass out hundred's of flyers door to door maybe 1 out of 200 flyers, maybe.
Also leaving my biz card @ businesses around my area.
Word of mouth is the best. I know now from experience.
I was thinking of getting my truck lettered, biz name, phone number, and Email. But my truck is a 97 Chevy Silverado. I bought it for 1000 from farmer his son put whole left side in a ditch. So it's pretty banged up and that's what's been holdin me back from doing it.
Sorry don't know why said all that lol doing this from my phone.
Question I have, I want to learn more, want to be a professional not just a wash/wax guy. Anyone know of any training schools around southern il. All detailers are Not wanting compitition so it's hard to find someone to be mentor.
