I know just the other day that I said we shouldn't tell new folks to use the search button. I won't retract what I said and I won't tell you to do a search, but I will tell you that you need to spend some time reading here and narrow your list down to some specific questions. No one is going to do all the legwork for you like that and some of those questions are so loaded, all you'll get is opinion upon opinion about "what is the best this-and-that."

Yeah, you definitely need to start reading. A lot of those questions have been answered numerous times. I think you'll find that you'll learn a lot more by reading up on multiple opinions, rather than someone just answering 20 pretty broad questions. Starting up a business is a large commitment. If you are looking for the easy way right from the start, how serious do you think you'll be once you actually get up and running?

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in English, thank a soldier.

JP...this is what I was making light of the other day..not making fun of but just poking at those that take the detail process or business, like its nothing more than a simple car wash

To the OP you are asking a lot of anyone to answer all these questions...you will not find a much better site on the net to help you, but start by helping yourself a bit and do some reading using the search feature

I have a totally different POV ... if anyone needs this much info they should not be going into business...

every profession has a level of skill and knowledge , even a garbageman needs to know what his machine can handle, a stock boy on how to lift, etc ...

If someone plans on being a detailer or opening up a shop they must know their profession in and out or they will not succeed

life is short ..do it while you can

Guys you are all right !

Not to be rude here but,Anything you do YOU GOTTA KNOW THE DEAL 1000%. I have seen more guys get into a business or a second business "that looks good or they think looks good" and FAIL.

You gotta know more than the people working for you and have all, "yes" ALL THE ANSWERS YOURSELF PERIOD.

Not being able to do the work yourself puts you at a disadvantage and we all know how hard it is to find HELP OF ANY KNID.

Partnerships are not a good way to go into ANYTHING "PERIOD"

"PARTNERS ARE FOR DANCING" that's ALL! never business.

Read, look listen, practice, get the experience first and then make your play.

Good luck...

Since the OP wants to get in the business, I think he should find someone to learn from (get hired by another detailer as a helper) and then start his own since he has so many questions.
