Need help - 12-09-2008, 12:45 PM

Ok guys this is what im looking for. Someone that has a Detail shop that i can help them with, so i can gain some experience. Or if any one knows of a Detail School that would be good .As I am layoff from my job and NEED to make some money.

Dealerships are also a good starting point for detailing experience...or if there is a detail shop in your area they might be hiring...

Beemer is right. You can work at a dealership and learn exactly what NOT to do.

JP...its really hard for a new guy to make a break into this industry...not all dealerships are a bad...I think that's common belief...But at least he can get some work in the detailing area and get started...plus making some money at it

You could also try looking at body shops.
Bonus on that is you could pick up on some wet sanding practice

Ive ofter to work for $50 a day at a body shop, just to learn. I can buff a car out alright just not good enough to make a living at it. I would like it to be like perfect

The only way to get better is to practice.
If they are willing to give you a shot, practice there and move on to other places.
