Liability insurance - 06-18-2007, 12:50 PM

Searched around, but can't find a specific thread that covers what I am looking for.

I have a mobile busuness, and recenyly got a fleet contract, where I will be washing on their property. They want me to have a liability policy, and are not real concerned about a specific amount, just want me to be insured (which I want also). I checked with State Farm, who I had a previous policy with, but they say they dont do those type of policies anymore. Does anyone know of a good company that will give a policy to a mobile business? What does it usually run as far as costs?

Also, I will be using probably one helper on the fleet work. They want a workman's comp policy on them if they are not part owner of the company. Any idea of costs, etc? This is in California, BTW.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure why they said they do not do that type of insurance anymore. Maybe just in your state?
Not sure you would need workmans comp either. Full or part time? I think under a certain amount of hours, you do not need to carry it.

I was quoted @ $100 a month for general liability. $500K policy, no garage keepers.

Cali has weird laws...

Thanks TB.

I am sure someone else out there has insurance. Like I said, mainly looking for insurance for a "mobile" business. What company do you use, and roughly what does it run? Just looking for recomendations on carriers.

Thanks again.
