Mobile detailing insurance? - 01-05-2007, 12:02 PM

What type of insurance do most of you have for your business, and who are the carriers and how much are you paying a year? Thanks!

I am not mobile, only part-time in a fixed location. I have a commercial policy thru State Farm which I believe is referred to as a "Shop Keepers Policy". It is a very basic policy, not exactly the type of coverage you will require. Premium cost is approximately 3 complete details for me.

I hope this helps a little.

For our detail company we just have Commercial General Liability Insurance from Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company. Did a quick look through my policy and the only numbers I find are my local agent who is just a broker. It's roughly $700. per year.

We don't pick-up and deliver cars though which requires a more expensive policy.

Contact the agent you have your car policy or home policy with and ask them about business liabilty insurance, they either offer it or can point you in the right direction. I'd find a couple to compare if I were you.
