My Trailer - 02-17-2006, 06:55 PM

No pics yet....Too Dark Outside.....

Well......since I sold a car and made a few hundred bucks, I decided to go out and buy a trailer. 4x8 with no floor. I did not wanta floor in it, because that expanded metal stuff they put in there is very thin and bends where it is not supported. I went out and bought some treated 5/4-6 footers for the floor.(In between a 1x6 and 2x6) Will be a lot stiffer and easier to bolt things down to it.
The cost for the trailer, new ball, and plug adapter.....less than $300.
Though...I do need to get a new dropped reciever...trailer sits a little at an angle....need to even it out..........

Next comes the water tank.......

LET THE SPENDING BEGIN

Looks like your getting closer and closer to being ready. Glad to see you could put that profit you made to use. Oh yeah plenty of more money to be spent.

Just bought my PC today, along with some wood and hardware for the trailer floor. Also picked up 2 black plastic toolboxes....about 3-3 1/2 feet wide. One for each side of the trailer. Hmmmm....what else......a few odds and ends from walmart.....

Now about to order some chemicals from a few distrubutors here.............

Re: My Trailer - 02-23-2006, 07:50 AM

trailer, new hitch and ball ran @ $300..less registration
Wood floor ran about $50 with hardware to bolt down
Trailer jack ran about $30
Those 2 toolbox/chests cost $20 each
Water tank ran $157, tax included
Straps to hold down tank $23
Fittings for water tank @ $10

Total for just trailer so far..... $590
Still needs a little bit......
Pressure washer, generator (I will borrow til I can afford one), and othe misc. things. It adds up FAST

As far as Chemiclas...I'll just keep that to myself. :eat: Let's just say, they add up quicker than you realize......LOL

Did you find that water tank on clearance? I've been checking them out and they seem to run higher than that on sites I've checked on the net. How many gallons is it?
