SSR2, then EX?

I'm planning on doing a buddy's black Lexus SUV and he has some decent swirls. I was planning on using a Cobra white polishing pad with SSR2, then follow it up with EX on a fishing pad.

Would I get better results by using SSR1 with a polishing/finishing pad prior to using EX?

if the swirls are bad enough i always step down from ssr2 to ssr 1 .. but test an area and see what it looks like and you will have yer answer.. if it looks good run with it..

I agree that the SSR2 might leave some hazing that the SSR1 will take out

Would you recommend using the SSR1 on a polishing pad or finishing pad after the SSR2?

ive never gone wrong with ssr1 on a polishing pad.. but i usually glaze after with Black hole on the finishing pad.. but you are skipping that step and going right to sealing..so..im not 100% sure although a few people have said that ssr1 does such a nice job it will prolly work out good for you.

I would use the polishing pad with the SSR2 and see where you are... then if needed use a finishing pad with SSR1 (as SSR1 is a finishing polish) and then EX with a finishing pad .. 2 coats would be best to start

This too is what I would do. You will like the SSR 2 and SSR 1 if you haven't yet used them. You can really work that stuff for a long time and it finishes down very glossy.

I would think though that you might not get the correction out of the SSR 2 unless you do a whole bunch of passes. You may end up needing SSR 2.5 or something similar but remember to try the least aggressive method first. Have fun.
