Trim Restorer Applicator - 10-20-2007, 08:05 PM

Used my Trim Restorer for the first time today (as with Wheel Sealant see other thread).

I used a foam applicator and it was all over my hands by the time I was done.

So what does everyone use to apply PB TR?

Flash

PS - It was getting dark by the time I got to the trim so I could not see 100% in the day light. It looks like it is another great product from PB!

I use a small foam paint brush. It works great.

I like a cotton pad applicator, in some cases I like to be able rub the TR in and the foam doesn't do that

Foam paint brush? That is brilliant! I'll have to try that. I always use an old MF, the the foam paint brush sounds like a good idea.

Works much better more control and you can get really close to the paint without getting it on it so you don't have to clean it off lol.

I've always just used the edge of a cotton towel. It's a little messy, but I'm a mechanic, so I don't mind it. I might have to try out the foam brush method though.

PB Trim Restorer is all I use on trim and rubber tires. I use tire swipes from Pep Boys for the tires. It can get a little messy so I just wear a pair of latex gloves. For the trim I use a couple of different foam brushes depending on the size of the surface.

I also use a foam paint brush. I have diferent sizes for the trim around the windows I use a 1 " brush for the larger areas like the mirrors I use a 2" and really large areas like the defroster inlet I use a 3" foam brush

I also like the foam paint brush. It allows me to get in the tighter areas around the mirror and rear windshield wiper arm. Also, like said before, just a little bit goes a long way. After I'm finished, I use a MF to buff and remove any excess.

I had always used one of those round terry cloth type applicators, however I may switch to the foam brush...better control.
