i wonder if the pads can stand up to the full speed setting on this thing ...its been my experience that the old porter cable destroys pads at speed 6 when used for very long ...any comments from the pad makers ...nice looking machine ....anyone want to buy my old one?

I wonder if the stronger motor would allow it to spin more when putting pressure on the machine. My biggest nit about the 7424 is how it stops spinning all together when the slightest bit of pressure is applied, so all you get is oscillation, but no spinning.

never had that problem, but then again I really don't use pressure... if you feel the need for more pressure then you need to bump up the speed or go to a more aggressive combo of pad and product or a stronger machine.

life is short ..do it while you can

Its not even on Porter Cables site yet.

Anyone have any thoughts on this vs the Megs G110?

Will the optional counter weight fit this machine?

Also has anyone who already has experience(20+yrs) using Rotary ever use a PC? It almost seems like I would be going backwards But that would really be nothing New here.
