Re: Whats your go to polisher?

I use the Meg`s GV110V2 with 6" BP and 6.5" LC CCS pads (although I will be getting the 5.5" Megs MF Correction system). It`s my first DA, but I have very little to complain about in terms of vibration or pad heat. The body of the machine gets warm, but that is after 30 minutes of continuous polishing in 99 degree, 100% humidity type heat.

I would love to have a rupes bigfoot mini if I had the money.

Re: Whats your go to polisher?

It always depends on what I am doing.

Flex PE14 = Glass polishing and spot compound as needed.
Rupes15 = General polishing (want to upgrade to the 21)
PCxp = Smaller pads and tight spaces.

Re: Whats your go to polisher?

    I have an old Meguiars G110v2 !
Its a nice little machine !
It gets to clean up glass and sometimes lightly scratched headlights, taillights, etc..
Needs smaller pads to get the most pad rotation out of it.
    Never has problems, etc..

Porter Cable!!!! Is this normal? It seems the older my PC gets. The more aggressive it cuts?!?! When I first got it about 10 years ago. I could hold it in the same spot for 20 seconds and it would not build any heat. Now if I keep it in the same sport for 5 seconds it builds heat. hmmm.
