Its a good idea, I don't do that much of it, but would invite reading about those that do from techniques to products and equipment used to correct

Let me say this again. We have a new forum section. Not a new forum thread to post your wetsanding projects and questions on.

I know hp, you were just giving an example of what wetsanding is.

Seems there's always someone wanting to know how to sand touch-up paint flat after it's applied to a scratch or rock chip; there also seem to be a lot of interest in sanding orange peel flat.

I've been meaning to write an article on the general topic of wet-sanding, just some of the basics as far as what's involved when it comes to the process.

sanding orange peel flat is not a good idea on some domestic cars as they just don't have enuff paint to sand it flat. I would only sand out orange peel on a custom paint job or a repaint, never on a new car. Some cars come with a factory orange peel , and if that is sanded out , it could red flag you as new car being re painted, thus hurting the value of your car. It's something to consider.

here is a example of a before and after result with no wet sanding involved, wet sanding is not always the answer......if you know some buffing techniques
