Noob question - Lake Country Pads - 08-26-2009, 07:02 AM

Hey guys. I'm looking for some new pads for my pc. I previously had the Edge 2000 pads, but wanted to try something different.

Troy had suggested the LC flat pads. Maybe this sounds stupid, but are those the CCS pads? What size should I get? I'm planning on upgrading to a Flex at some point and I wanted some pads I could use with the pc in the meantime.

Thanks for the advice!

Steve

LC flat pads are just as they sound while the CCS pads have the dimples in them. Both are 6.5" in diameter and will work on the PC as well as the Flex.

They are also sold in 4" sizes so make sure you specify when ordering.

Even sometimes I, in a moment of what could only be described as pure sanity, question the rationality of this obsession.

I have the 5.5 in LC CCS pads and from the posts I've seen on here it seems the majority say not to go bigger than that with a PC.

Get the Edge adapter for the Flex( Edge FLEX XC 3401 Conversion Adapter, Edge Pads adapter for FLEX Orbital Buffer, 3M Edge 2000 Adapter )that way you can use any size Edge pad.

I have been using the same LC contour pads for years but when they came out with the CCS pad I bought one just to see how it was .
I liked the way it worked the first few times but then it started to flake off little pieces of foam so NO more CCS for me.

It will if you mod the backplate a little bit.

The 5.5's I have now are almost the same size as the backplate, and I haven't modded mine (backplate) in any way.
