Can't go wrong with the CCS pads.

Call me and I can walk you through any specific questions. 1-800-541-4542

As far as how to guides and videos, Autogeek has you covered there.

I have not made how to's on buffing a priority on my store. I never said I was smart.

They are now though and as soon as I get them done I will show them off here.

I've been using Lake Country pads and Meguiar's soft buff pads for a few years now because they each give me what the other can't sometimes, but I can highly suggest LC pads... definitely use the Hitachi on practice panels first...

As for what pads, I would suggest 5.5" pads, CCS or flat, as well as a few PFW 6.5 and 4" pads

Good question.

I have a 6" backing plate on mine. I find it works well with the larger pads but gives me the option of using a 6.5" pad if I want.

You may want to try starting with a wool polishing pad first just to get the hang of the machine. Foam pads will heat up faster and can tend to hop a little more than the wool.

Just my $.02

Dave KG has one of the best rotary guides I've seen.
