    Plastic Wheel Covers

I did a 04 Dodge Durango over the weekend for a neighbor. The car was loaded with every thing you could put in it. While I was cleaning the rims of which I thought where chrome, they turned out to be plastic covers that where held on with the lug nuts. I have to say that they looked like chrome rims the plastic was really thick, but I just had a hard time getting over that they where plastic.

Seems like youn pay alot for these new cars I would think that real chrome rims would be included.

    Re: Plastic Wheel Covers

I have seen pontiac cars like that also. I wonder if you ask them at the dealer if they are real chrome when you are buying the car if they would say yes. I wonder how much of an upgrade they charge you for the "chrome package" LOL. I have seen pontiac rims on ebay and they say they are real chrome and they are the plastic covers. They are real expensive too on there. To bad for the guy who buys them thinking they are real.
