structural damage

got a call yesterday. the DC where i work got some damage. from all the snow on the roof no doubt. no details as of today. news just mentioned it briefly. no one was in there at the time i gather. thank god. no work today...

Glad no one was injured. There was one church in the area that had its roof collapse from the snow. I was at first surprised, and then surprised that there weren't more occurrences.

i am not going to lie. good to be off today. 49 hours/6days last week. got to watch distric 9 this morning. good flick. if was nice out i would be detailing the FJ.

just got another call. turning into a mini vacation. no work tomorrow either.

Hopefully it won't turn into an extended vacation and that you have sufficient time-off accrued to tide you over until repairs are made.

update. got a letter today. they are still in the process of accessing and waiting for the engineers to clear things. a part of the building did get damaged to to the snow on the roof. they are covering us for 40 hours of pay for this. they are shooting for friday (maybe) to gey back to work. but we are going to work the weekend to make up for the lost work.

That sounds very admirable for them to do this, especially in these economic times. for your company, and certainly good news for you and your fellow employees.

well, vacation is over. got the call yesterday. back to work thursday, and expect to work thru the weekend. and...dress warm guess the gaping hole is still there. sounds like they are calling us back way too soon?
