Hmmmm...I was thinking of a different "50" dimension. To each his own...I guess.

A set of those would look great on my Corvette and would improve the handling.

I don't know about improved handling, but your perspective would be improved. You could survey the landscape ahead rather than looking at the tailpipe of the guy just ahead of you.

Good post that needed just a little editing.

What I remember is all the green Chevies.

So they could hide in the weeds while the Fords went by.

I think you realize it's all in fun.
I have a Corvette and a couple of other GM products in the garage.
I did drive Fords, usually modified, through 1957.
Got tired of watching the Chevies go by and didn't like green cars so I bought a Chevy in 1959.

You think so???
The tire store I go to even sells chrome stick-on numbers like 20", 22", 24", etc. so you can advertise the size of the wheels on your vehicle.
The most expensive set of wheels and tires they have sold was a $13,000 package. At least they went on a $40,000 pick-up and not a $600 beater.
It's not my thing, but they sure do sell a lot of aftermarket wheels.
Lots of single replacements when the buyers find out that pot holes aren't very good for big wheels and skinny tires.
They even sell special wheel damage insurance for them.
