    Paintless Dent Repair

The people who do this work are Gods walking amongst mere mortals. I had this dent in the fender of my Santa Fe from three years ago and had never gotten around to getting it fixed. I had night class tonight so I had most of the daylight hours free and decided to blow just a bit of my tax refund on this long-overdue repair. I called around and found a highly-reputable detail and dent repair shop that I gave a quick call. The guy on the other end of the line was very nice and we set up for today at 1. The man he brought in was an expert at this...it took him all of 15 minutes and he only charged me $100 which I think is pretty damn good.

Now that this is done, all the minor damage on the Santa Fe has been fixed and hopefully, I can prevent future damage.

It`s not really a dent, per se. More like a warp. Kind of difficult to see in these photos due to the lack of blue sky but it`s there nonetheless. If you have an LCD, look up at the screen so the picture darkens and it shows up better.

And an after photo, taken just now. You can`t even tell it was there.

Even sometimes I, in a moment of what could only be described as pure sanity, question the rationality of this obsession.

I had it done on a truck one time - severe hail damage. Looked like it had been under a rock shower or something. It took a little longer than an hour, but they did get them all out and you couldn`t tell they were ever there.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

It is a great thing, but.....
You have those that are really good, those that are acceptable and those that don`t have a clue. Kinda like detailers.
Doing some research and getting some references from people that have used them would be my recommendation.

I`ve watched the guy who works for a local wholesaler ply his trade. He`s a friendly guy, doesn`t mind talking and `splainin` while he works. From what I can tell, it takes patience, a good eye and a steady hand. I seem to possess none of those qualities.
