Talking Just to make some of you envious - 01-10-2009, 10:11 AM

This is our local forecast.
"DOT is not advising travel this morning across central Iowa including I-235 and portions of I-35, I-80 and Hwy 30 as roads are snow packed. Snowfall reports coming into the lab today have averaged 4"-8". We'll have a brief break from the snow with more expected by Monday. Then get ready for some extreme cold for mid-week as arctic air sends our lows plunging well below zero by Wednesday"

Now we can ski, snowmobile, ice skate, make snowmen, stay inside with our sweetie.

I think your weather is a few days behind ours.
This one you have coming right away is mostly to put down some freezing rain, sleet and light snowfall for a base. Remember, preparation is the key. Then it is followed by finish coat of 2" to 8". Sometimes it's enough to last all winter although we do usually have a few refresher applications before spring.

Its just at freezing here this AM and today's high will be 70ish....we are 5 inches below seasonal averages for the year....so am I envious...yes I am from the stand point that I will not be able to wash cars this summer without some sort of water rationing going on....

It just stopped raining here after raining for a few hours, and it's 68 degrees outside. A little chilly for my taste.

Well here's what New Jersey looks like today, this is
just the start. 10 inches expected, which is very
common here in the winter months.

Same here. I did some detailing today and actually broke a sweat a couple times.
