    Chemical Guy`s Slow Shipping

I ordered some things from Chemical Guy`s and after 48 hours they still have not shipped.

Their web site showed the items in stock
    .
This is my first time ordering from them but when I order from Auto geek it usually ships the same day.

I didn`t think much about it when they did not ship the first day but now they missed the second day also

Anyone know if this is typical of Chemical Guy`s

how many days does it take to fill an order

I haven`t heard many good things about CG. There is a lot of talk about it but most of that is hype for some odd reason. I do not like CG shady practices either ... Hopefully it`ll ship out soon. Sometimes it stinks being spoiled by the fast shipping of DC sponsors.

I had the same problem with them. Only order twice from CG and both times it took 2 weeks and call one time and they were too busy for me........

Thats why I like ordering from the guys we`ve got here, they all go out the next day, and in some cases I get the product the next day...

Same here. My priority is fast service and I will usually pay more to get it. The fast shippers usually give better pre and post sales support -- no busy phone lines, unanswered emails, etc.

    Re: Chemical Guy`s Slow Shipping

I use alot of CG products for my business because they flat out work and are reasonably priced. Customer service has always been right there when I`ve had an issue. I do notice that the shipping can be slow sometimes. I just order my chemicals when I see the gallon jugs are gettin low,I don`t wait for them to run out. I haven`t been screwed yet but I would get pissed if I couldn`t get my cars done.

48 hours doesn`t seem that bad to me.
A lot of things can affect the ship date.
If the order was placed late in the day, it may not even get entered into the system until the following day.

So called cheap prices don`t outweigh good customer service to me, either. It seems to for some people. Look at Wal*Mart.

2/28 - Thursday. If it was late in the day, it might not get processed until the next day.
2/29 - Friday. It might be in the system and still not leave the facility. In fact, they might not even be open on Friday.
3/1, 3/2 - The weekend and nothing will be happening.
    3/3 - On the way.
Doesn`t sound too bad to me.

The way to overcome the problem was mentioned earlier. Buy from someone that gives you the service you want.
FWIW, It won`t be the Wal*Mart in Ankeny.

I can`t wait for transporters like in Star Trek so I can just get my supplies instantly...

BB call and cancel the order, reserve the charges on your CC....In this highly competitive industry there is no room for this type of service.

I bet if you just call and say cancel the order you will get some action...really to bad that you have to do anything at this level

    Re: Chemical Guy`s Slow Shipping

The times I have ordered from them, it has generally been pretty quick turnaround. I haven`t ordered from them in a while - mostly because I don`t buy a lot of stuff in bulk. I am definitely spoiled from some of the folks I order detailing supplies from - I ordered something from Bass Pro Shops and it took over a week to get to me and I was mad!
I still don`t believe in grit guards.
