NEW ADDITION...to the trailer (big pic 56k warning) - 07-05-2006, 03:16 PM

I have always wanted flags flying from my trailer. Checkered flags at that. Not the traditional black and white, not much of an attention grabber. Something that people will see. My searches on the internet came up with a few kinds, but were too much, plus shipping. Talked to the dealership I used to work at, and they said they will contact the guy and get some for me.....yea right....over a month has passed and no call.

So today while driving, I passed a car lot, and seen a guy putting up some of these penant flags. SWEEEEEEET.

I made it a priority to do an illegal U-Turn and head back to him. He had them in stock in his van.....HAHA
I chose 3x3, 9 checker flag in BLACK AND YELLOW. regular $18 a piece, but gave them to me for $20 for 2. NICE.

I figure I'd put them on the trailer WHEN PARKED, to draw more attention.
Went to Lowes and picked up 2, 10ft pieces of conduit to mount them to.

Here is the pics, tell me what you think. I left them that high so they can be seen.

How they are held in place

Also, the guy has a 37FT fifth wheel he wants done before he takes off for vacation. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

They only go on the trailer when I am detailing. Come off right after. Keep them in the truck or at the house any other times. Not too worried about security for them. Always be next to me.

Chris....

That is a great Idea..it is a attention getter....People see the flags blowing and get curious to whats going on...it will make them slow down to see whats going on...

Also if you are in the back of a parking lot doing a car..some one see's the flags..it will attract them most likely...

Great Idea.....

Thats awesome. I'd cut them poles down a little. I'm sure you couldn't make thru the drive thru with your trailer now.

True Detailer, in post #5 Chris states that the poles are only up while detailing a vehicle to draw attention to his trailer and the car that he is detailing. He takes them down when the detail is completed.
