Networking Neighborhood Book Ad Ideas - 09-01-2009, 10:26 AM

Ok, my step mother is putting together a neighborhood networking book that she does every year that allows residents to place business ads. She is in the real-estate business, so she is always trying to bring in new business of course. Well this year I have the opportunity to put in an Ad myself free of charge. She said make it fun and interesting - maybe offer a coupon or something.

So not wanting to pass up free marketing I was thinking of adding an Ad with some fun facts or some sort of car care quiz. In it I wanted to address a lot of myths and dumb down the care process to make sense to the general car owner. So I figured since I have access to all the experts on this forum I would get everyone’s input on some interesting tidbits I could include that would draw in some potential customers.

Heck maybe someone here has already done a similar piece. Your Thoughts?

Don't know how I missed this - I thought it was a brand new post.

In any case, there is a lady in my neighborhood that does one of these, and it gets circulated throughout the entire city here. Lots of ads for photography, children's clothing, etc. I think it would be good advertising, especially if free. I would imagine you'd wind up getting lots of minivans and grocery-getters using the one here.

I don't believe in grit guards.

Anyone in executive women publications? I'm a part of a bartering community (Tradebank: GREAT for all my printing, uniforms, advertising, supplies, etc. and they just opened one in Tampa so if ya'll S.FLa guys would be interested let me know. I spend no cash on any of this) and they have a couple professional women's mags I'm getting in here soon. I hope it's profitable. I'd think this is the best ad to place when targeting professional women. Anyone have experience with something like this?
