I made our own site using a program called Web Page Maker. Very easy drag and drop program, you can add a lot of extras to. Having a background in web design helps also.

This is something I'm looking into. I'm almost out of business cards and would love to have a website up and running before I get more printed. It would save me from explaining prices and packages as much and give me a place to show off my work. It seems like godaddy would be my best bet for a simple cheap website.

hey Mrclean81, do have any experience using web page builders? I have some experience in web Design, but I used a simple cheap program called Web Page Maker, it works great for guys like us. drag and drop pictures, make text, even add PayPal. I edit my site every couple of days to keep it fresh, you can use Godaddy to host it and they even have a way of editing your site and publishing it anytime you feel like it.

I had a site I started on with freewebs.com and I hated everything about it. It just seemed cheap and didn't represent my business very well. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll definatly look into it.

Check out my website by clicking the links in the signature.

Its based on the wordpress platform ( Blogging site ) but has no blog. What the wordpress platform does is give me the ability to easily go in and change, delete or add what i want as easily as using any word processor like Microsoft Works or Word.

Private message me if you still need help with this.

My cousin is a website designer out of Austin, TX. She did mine for me for around $300 and it has already paid off in means of increased communications from people browsing my site and calling for a detail. Check out mine: DJ's Details

We just got it up so I'm sure there will be a few kinks to work out. Pictures don't enlarge yet; we're working on that.

Just a suggestion, stay away from Flash. Many consumers are accessing the web from their phones nowadays and Flash isn't readily available on all smart phones. Good luck with the site

Nice clean web site. It looks like each page is an entire image rather than HTML. That is probably why you can use non-standard fonts.

I like the regular text and extra space between lines...makes for easy reading.

The best tip I can give you is whoever designs your website, make sure they have some understanding of implementing SEO into the design.

SEO is search engine optimization, and the better the SEO is the easier Google and the other search engines will find, read, and rank your site.

If you need some help or guidance, send me a PM.

Good Luck
