A program like Print Shop or Art Explosion would be a good way to go. They are inexpensive desk top publishing programs. You can design your business cards, letterhead, flyers....

I even designed my detailing website with my Art Explosion software. Not the best choice for making a website because it creates sloppy code but if you don't care about that then it would work.

I'd offer my services...but I'm certainly not free.

Remember...you wouldn't ask someone who's not 'skilled' to detail your car...so be careful with cheap or free graphic work from people not 'skilled' in the profession. You get what you pay for.

Best of luck to you however you decide to go about it.

I've had pretty good results with Microsoft Publisher, found in Microsoft Office. We print 1/3 page fliers. That we we print 3 fliers per each sheet of glossy brochure paper.

the flyers are the first thing customers see ... if you go cheap they will assume you are low budget/quality .. people see my brochures and they are surprised i work out of my garage ..

I would suggest to just find a flyer you like and try to copy the style rather than starting from scratch. Microsoft Publisher can do most any task. Microsoft Word can mimic Publisher if you start using text boxes (similar to frames concept).

I'll make you one if you compensate me for my time. I made this:

Well I didn't really design it, I found the template and added some stuff.

Here's my post card...15 pt stock with a spot varnish on the front side...

For those that may not understand what a 'spot varnish' is, basically the entire card has a matte finish and then I implemented a 'glossy' spot varnish over the area where the truck is to make it look like 'shiny' paint for that extra 'wow' factor when the customer receives it. All of the 'marketing' copy was written by myself as well.

With over 17 years in the graphic design biz...you can see why I take this stuff so seriously. The proper marketing materials can truly make your company stand out from all of the ordinary places.

You wouldn't ask your neighbor to perform open heart surgery on you if he's not a certified surgeon (even if he knows how to use a knife)...so please...don't trust the future of your business to just any ordinary person just because they know how to copy and paste on a computer.
