Interesting Find! - 06-14-2008, 05:29 PM

My neighbor came over this afternoon and asked of I could help with getting some over spray off his truck....no big deal...he is a commercial painting contractor...and in one of his jobs he got some on a few cars.

So I asked is this something that is common with commercial paint contractors..no not if your good at it but its the nature of the biz depending on the wind and all...all of a sudden a light goes off.

Why not call on paint contractors for over-spray work..seems that they are candidates for detail work.

I plan on looking up the ones that are in my area and making some calls on Monday. I mean what can it hurt for them to have me as a source in case this happens...at least they know me and I can give them an honest price not some jacked up one by another detailer knowing that someone else is paying for it.

Anyone done this?

I do get some of the painters call me for over spray remove, because i work in a paint store. But a lot of them just leave the job before the owner of the car knows what have happen to their car. Because a lot of them don't carry insurance. And also Happy Birthday Beemerboy!

Thanks but the bonded painters would be the target for me...they will owe up to anything that happens on the job site!
