Best Forms of Marketing? - 01-14-2008, 09:00 PM

This question has been asked before and answered well before but it hasn't been asked by me before.

We all know that word of mouth is the cheapest and the best form of advertising but besides that, what works for you?

My web site has become my best form of advertising and I don't even have it done yet.

It has a lot of advantages over yellow page ads;

- It is an area that few of my competitors use to get new business.

- More and more people are searching for detailing services using their computer rather than the phone book.

- It gives the customer all the info on your company they want before they even inquire over the phone.

- A website is cheap to have and not all that difficult to create.

- The better optimized your site is the higher it will show up in a free search listing. In other words, you don't have to spend big money to have the biggest ad.

What works for you? and why?

I am going with the web site. I personaly rarely use the Yellow pages any more, and if I do I can find it on yellowpages.com.

I like beer. On occasion I will even drink a beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that our refrigerator is still working.

I get 50% of my calls from yellow pages here. Some redirect to website, but not all.
