There`s not too many things I miss about the States, but Ranch dressing is one of them. I`ve been in Hungary for 8 years now and there`s just a lot of stuff that you can get in the US that just aren`t available here and vice versa. Recently I was at the supermarket and I bought some salad and dressing to go with it, but it was a "mystery" dressing named "kértész öntet" (garden dressing). I got home and made dinner and a salad and when I took the first bite of my salad, my taste buds said, "Dude, that tastes familiar..." and with the 2nd bite I was sure... it was RANCH!! Score !! I went back to the market and bought like 6 more bottles of it . Since then I`ve enjoyed it on pizza, eggs, fries, mozzarella sticks and even on my salad... I know it`s korny telling you all about my Ranch experience, but it`s really the little things that make me happy; I`m a simple man :heelclick.

I think you missed a business opportunity--something to do during the winter when detailing is slow--manufacture ranch dressing for the emerging European market!

Would you care to share your story? Were you originally from the US or did you come from Europe, live here for a while and go back?

Yeah, I could be like a Ranch rancher... :spot! I was made in the USA, and after the Army I lived in CO for a few years. That`s where I met a beautiful Hungarian chick with big.. eherm, eyes . Long story short, she came back to HU and convinced me to come out and be with her. She canned me for another guy 6 months after my arrival so I was left jobless, moneyless, friendless (I did have my little kitty though ) and homeless. Anyhoo, I toughed it out for a couple of drunken days on the streets then one of her friends contacted me somehow and offered me a place to stay. I only stayed for a week, as I didn`t want to wear out my welcome and word got around of what had happened to me and I met some great people that were willing to help. So after a month or so of vagabonding from one house to the next, I finally managed to save enough money to split rent with another American guy who was living here. The next few months sucked but I eventually got enough English students to make pretty decent money. I don`t regret coming here one bit either. I`ve traveled all over the world since my arrival, I have a hot wife now that loves me (well most of the time anyway LOL), a lady-killer to-be son, nice house and my long-time dream of operating a mobile detailing business has finally become a reality. Another long-time dream of mine also came true here in HU (referring to my avatar) so I love being here. And now my recent discovery is just Ranch on the cake !

You`ve NEVER dipped your pizza in ranch? Wow.

If you want a weird one, I was introducted to. BBQ wings dipped in ranch dressing. Quite good.

It`s basically good on any pizza but it is the best on Donatos IMO.

Peppercorn Ranch on mashed potatoes or a baked potato. :woot2:

Add in a nice peppercorn seasoned steak and I am happy.

Interesting back story. Any pictures of the first hottie?

BTW, tried e-mailing you about the version of BioKleen you have but both e-mails got kicked back. Hit me up on mine, it is in my profile.
