800? It woud be a good value if you knocked $750.00 more off. Then Swissvax would only have a couple 1000% markup

Is there a rap about Swissvax mark up I missed on Autopia? I had not logged in for 3 months until last week. Just looking for controversy.

That I knew as he promoted it with the Swarovsky crystal container.

    What a dumb statement....

No inside joke, I have worked with and spoken with some people well inside the wax industry and from the cheapest wax to the most expensive there is such little difference in the formulas its not really funny. I`m sure Crystal Rock is a great wax (Swisswax doesn`t make a `bad` wax) its just (like many other waxes which contain levels of silicon, oil, solvent, and wax) wax. Its the romantic view of a resin rejected by a carnauba palm`s frawn that I find so funny.

My only point being from my understanding that actual cost to mix and pour wax ranges from about .80 cents to $3.00 dollars, thats it. Regardless if you pay $5.99 or $8,500.00, thats the cost of the product and pourning. Labeling and packaging (on cheaper priced waxes) often makes about half the price (another $0.80). Obviously on waxes that are packaged in Swedish make up containers the price of packaging increases, and on waxes that come in really fancy containors the price of packaging FAR suprasses the price of the wax contained.

If I used a 8000 dollar wax then showed up and applied my own 1000 dollar wax, wouldn`t that only support my own theory. If price is so important to the performance of a wax, then how come a 1000 dollar verison performs better. Or even better yet, how come a 30 dollar sealant lasts 3 times as long (with most people not able to see any difference)?

If Royale is so good, how can it be replicated for 700 percent less? If PD CR is so good how come 50 dollar Collonite looks as good or better (to people I trust who don`t BS me or get mesmorized by romantic notions).

Thomas likes to stir the pot with me and he has a history of this on other threads. To recap (since you have been gone for the three months) Jastek. He is seriously wierd, has been reported by several members, and continues... He has issues and I am afraid (seriously) that his obession will go over board and I will start recieving pretty little undergarments in the mail from him, wrapped in a locket of his hair.

The facts are clear and simple. We had a misunderstanding, I have apologized, he continues to harrass me.... period. Infact, my first to PM to him was apologzing for a misunderstanding, his response was that I never apologize. (think about how wierd that is for a second) By the resonses on every thread that he starts with me (and the PMs I recieve as a result of his attacks) most everybody thinks he is jealous. He has never apologized as well for his behavior but tells me I`m the one who has an ego. It`s just wierd and hopefully

BTW Thomas, don`t PM my boy Brian Brice talking crap about me on other forums... Its kind of childish (again)

It is a shame since it probably is a nice wax and he would probably sell a boat load of it if it was priced around 50 bucks. He could probably even get away with somewhere between 50 to 300 bucks but over a G for a LSP is totally insane.

I`ll have to agree with Todd (about the wax markups in price). Todd i have learned some great tips from you and i`m glad you are willing to share. I never spend over 50 dollars for a wax, i take my lessons from the pros like Showroom Shine, Todd, Scottwax, and the others, you know who you are, it`s all in the prep.

My favorite aspect is that a $1200 wax wears off and washes away pretty much the same as a $25 wax.

Valid point Todd, and it unfortunately just struck me like lightning.

Its Carnauba wax, the same No1 Yellow or White in the $9.00 Mothers to the $8,000 Royale.

I`ve never seen a wax advertised with a newly found ingredient or some super stimulated sub-strain of Brazilian carnauba grown hydroponically by scientists in hermetically sealed laboratories near Area 51.

Oh my, now that I`ve said it, watch someone do it.....what a gimmick.
