Yea, no MORE entries for me either. I started the business by taking anything and everything out there. Now I can pick and chose what vehicles I want to touch or send to my competitors...

I once cleaned out a car for a neighbor. Found a sippy cup. Sealed and everything. Looked to be full of clear fluid. I thought, maybe it was Kool-Aid or lemonade and I can dump this out and clean it up...
It WAS formula.
All the solids had congealed in the lid of the cup where they couldn't be seen (or smelled) until opening.
After I finished washing my hands and face, put on a clean shirt, and got back to the car, that sippy cup went in the same trash dumpster I put all the other crap out of that car.

I did an entire article on this on my website which is here. Since I live in a college town you can imagine what kind of things I find and how the insides may look. I have learned to look the other way and just leave things where they are. But the list ranges from sex toys to dirty diapers and things in between

Pistols, various clothing items, signs, tons of trash in a variety of decomposition, etc.
The one that got me was a buddies wife's car. She left a pair of her panties just under the seat for my shop vac to find. I proudly displaced them on the inside rear-view mirror when I returned the car, we all got a good laugh out of it

Kinda scratching my head on pistols being listed by so many folks - not really sure what makes that such a crazy thing to find in an automobile. Oh well - guess it depends.

Normally only had my shotgun in the vehicle with me, and then only going to and coming from the hunt. Since I've continued to procrastinate on getting my CCW license I only carry a pistol when we're traveling. Our new S-i-L bow hunts as does another buddy of mine. Compound?

Actually, if I did have my CCW and thus had one in my vehicle, I wouldn't leave it unattended. Kinda important to maintain control. But like you say...it depends.

I used to do the police cars here and if they left a gun unsecured in their car they got in big trouble. Yet I was always running into unsecured guns. I kept quiet.
BTW. The odd thing about me finding a gun in one of the cars I detailed was it was a car bought from auction which obviously wasn't suppose to have any personal items left in it.

Mine was one time in the last 30 plus years, was a friend of my Mothers. He was sort of a wild crazy type and in trouble a lot
