Not Really That Funny - 08-04-2007, 06:01 PM

I live in a condo complex and every night I cover up my detailing trailer with a tarp, with the whole "out of site, out of mind" idea going.
Last night it was raining and I had not washed off the trailed in a while so I figured that I would spray some cleaner on the platform and the equipment and just let the rain do it's job.
I came out this afternoon, and my generator is stolen off my trailer!!!!
This sucks.

It sure sucks. Having to replace something that someone else thought they needed more than you is always tough. I am truly sorry for your loss!!

I'm sorry that happened to you. Was it sitting on the trailer or was it bolted down?

Oh, it was bolted down. They were nice enough to leave the bolts and the brackets so I can use them when I get the new one anyway.
It's alright now though. My insurance is gonna cover it and I get to go out and buy a new generator with, which I am psyched out.
Thank you to all who posted to take their time and read about my awful day.

This really stinks...sorry to hear what happened.

I like beer. On occasion I will even drink a beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that our refrigerator is still working.

Cruise the local pawn shops. It's common for those with drug habits to steal generators and other small tools to get $20 to get a fix.
If you find it call the police and have them pick it up as evidence.Mr. pawn shop owner shouldn't be taking stolen merchandise, but it happens often.
