What's happening at Detail City! -

The proper forum may be other than this, but....
Personal attacks are pretty rare on DC and that's the way it should be!!!!
Many people have left boards that they enjoyed, simply becaise of personal attacks and just plain bad attitudes. I happen to fall into that category and I know how it feels.
Keep in mind that we do have a procedure in place to deal with spam, shills, insults, profanity, all the crap we can do without.
If you see something that looks questionable, report it to a moderator. It will be dealt. Maybe not the way you wanted, but in the manner that the moderator saw fit.
So, everyone stay cool, (Don't need a group hug), and disagree in a respectful manner or else handle it in a PM.
It's gonna be a long winter if we don't get along.

Disagreements are and should be part of the exchange of information. Personal attacks shouldn't.
And yes, the system we have works well. Sometimes rather quickly, but that's OK too.
The Fuzz's new physique is one, (but only one), reason I'm not in favor of the group hug idea.

That's where we disagree Charles. Fuzz's new physique puts me more in favor of the group hug idea. :naughty
Seriously though, I appreciate all the work that the moderators and admins do for this board.

I'm familiar with the slow justice of other boards. I have moderated on a couple of boards where the banning or disipline process was very slow. Some troublemakers are now ring leaders with a following that makes them too popular to ban. I love how nobody gets so popular on DC that they are above the law. I have no doubt that if I were to step out of line that The Fuzz would drop the axe on me. Even if The Fuzz started breaking rules I have no doubt that Dwayne would drop the axe on the Fuzzinator himself. The rules are clear and intentional violations are dealt with quickly. It is exactly how I like to see things done and it is the reason that DC remains free of riff raff. I'm not feeling the group hug, but I do want to give DC a high five for being as cool as it is. :headbang

You are a wise man Charles
When personal attacks happen, I wonder what the new members and potential members think of our DC Family ???
Some family business is better handled one on one behind closed doors (PM)

You are absolutely right Anthony and that did happen temporarily. Even sponsors are not above being given a suspension or being banned.
The best way to avoid a big problem is to "nip it in the bud"....
Yes Kim some things should also be done behind the scenes, and often are.
This time of year the site is a bit more vunerable as Dwayne and Fuzz are a bit more busy and it is the responsibility of all member to report ANYONE who breaks the rules that keep this site free of problems
Location: Wherever there is a mullet... I'll be there.

I'm glad that you guys noticed that I've been working out a little. :naughty I thought that nobody would say anything. I upgraded my axe and swinging it around has really done wonders for my upper body. :mohawk
I just want you guys to know that we do appreciate our members here. When Dwayne or myself has to lay some smack down and sort of 'clear the room' I want you to know that it is only because we are trying to uphold what we feel are good and ethical rules for a site like this. Disrespect and spammers are not what people come to DC to see. Wolves in sheep clothing are definitely not what we want to see. I'd rather be with people that I know I can accept at face value than someone who has ulterior motives. DC has always been able to keep relatively free of that kind of thing and even though it might make me unpopular sometimes, I know that you guys know who I really am and that I am just trying to do what's right for DC. I'm really not a bad guy. I might give you a playful little slam every now and then (right Dave? ) but its all in fun. At the end of the day I am still a hard rocking dude who is smoooooooth with the ladies because of his luxurious man mullet. :naughty Now, let's get to that group hug. Charles, get over here ya big lug! :naughty
Business up front and party in the back! Oh yeah, baby. That's the mullet way!
Mullets are chick bait and I'm smooth with the ladies.
