Quick reply - 12-12-2008, 10:47 PM

Whenever responding to a thread using quick reply, the message will say "Posting Quick Reply Please Wait" I can wait all day long for the thing to post my reply, however, it will not actually post it until I refresh the page. Computer or website?

Now let's talk about editing. If I need to edit a post, the little dohiky circle loading whatchamacallit thing will show up and here again I can wait all friggin day for it. If I refresh the page, I get redirected back to my original post and will not allow me to edit it.

I'm 95% sure it's because my computer is older than dirt and it's more loaded with spyware, gizmos, whatchamacallits than a fully loaded Benz. Or is anyone else having these issues?

Never use "Quick Reply" so I'll try it.

It was instantaneous.

Editing seems to be no problem either.

Are you using dialup? It sounds like your internet connection is slow.

The browser is not getting a response back or something is blocking/interfering with traffic (like some brower added spyware -- maybe a toolbar add in, etc)

Or, DC is having dns problems where you get server not found. You may be going through one of the flakey servers that is causing this. (in the backbone somewhere)

Added after initial: It took about 3 seconds after using quick report to post
