Notification Question

I was wondering about something. Currently when i get a email notification and i click on the link in my email it always take me to the very first post in the thread. Is there a way to make it so that instead of taking me to the very first post it will take me to the newest post in the thread that i am being notified of?

This happened to me for a while but I cleared my cookies and the problem went away. One thing I would ask is do you have your user name a password set to automatically log you in?
