Rep coloring?

So this is not really a glitch or problem, just didn't know where to post it so here it is.

How come on the reps that you receive some are of a greyscale, no coloring?

I know green means that someone approves your post and red is of course something we all don't want but what are the non-filled ones? I've got 2 of them..

Dwayne mentioned that in another thread, the grey is a reputation that was given to you by someone with a low reputation, so it adds little to nothing to yours.
