Maybe a little over exaggerated but what the heck Chevy? What`s up with the lip behind the spokes?! What a PITA, 2012 Chevy Cruze.
And a teaser from today`s detail that I will post about soon.

Invent a cleaning tool specific to those wheels. Sell to owners of that vehicle. Make money, invest wisely, get rich, retire. You are now set. All because of poor Chevy engineering, go figure. Capitalism in its simplest form.
A society willing to trade liberty for temporary security deserves neither and will lose both

Oh wow. What a pain. What`d you end up using?
Beautiful job ! Cant wait to see the rest of the car !
Those wheels - amazing amount of extra work - what about that Mother`s Pointed Foam Cone thing ? I think it even has an extension or something?

That ridge gives added strength so they can use thinner material that saves money.
They don`t care how you get them clean.
I really like the new Chevy designs but I think I might swear off of GM forever considering the whole ignition switch problem in the Cobalts, G6`s and Aura`s and them knowing they could be faulty just to save $1 per switch. If that is the case with the wheels too then I am out completely. Plus the owner of this car said they already had to replace the water pump. I thought GM was stepping up their game but apparently just on design.
A lot of GM bashing going on. You can find problems with every car manufacturer. My dad`s 2013 ford focus needs a new transmission after 20k miles. Does that mean ford is junk? No.
It is no secret that Ford has had some transmission problems on newer cars, Mostly the dual clutch one that is probably what your dad has.
As to GM they have had more than fair share of problems this week it is they halted production on the 2015 Corvette till they can work out the problems with it. That is much better than continuing to build like they did in the past.
In case you did not notice I own a Corvette but to defend GM for things like the ignition key is ridiculous they knew it was defective for years and just kept building it.
That ridge looks to me like they are using something to make that wheel that is designed for multiple size wheels. Like they are using some "uni-size" wheel mold or tool or something.
Reminds me of this:
IMHO, I`d have to respectfully say kind of Yes. Ford has been making hit or miss auto transmissions for like ever now. I`m assuming this is an auto box?
When I worked on them they leaked like a sieve. The motor mounts were hydraulic (Taurus) and broke and the transmission banged all over the place. They would burn up due to fluid leaks and internal failures.
It seems much hasn`t changed at Ford.
Ford is making dual clutch boxes now? Yikes.

don`t know how you could leave those wheels on.
