    Fellow detailer modded his Rupes

I dont know the entire break down since its all beyond me but what from I was told earlier its alot faster and even cuts faster then before. He will continue testing of this mod for reliability and will even look into making a Griots 6" cut faster.

My guess is that it is the "washer mod".

Maybe he did the chain saw engine mod. Thinking that would speed things up.

He probably did the washer mod others have mentioned, many attribute this mod to Kevin Brown. I think he did this to one of the older non-Rupes machines and the fame has stuck around. RA, if this is what your friend has done, you can pick up a washer grind the flats and install it all in about 20 minutes. Add an extra 10 minutes if you don`t have a grinder and need to file.

VaderGT posted a YouTube on this recently and I believe he liked the mod.

A little bird told me about some of the internal parts of one model Rupes being inserted into the other model for improved performance. We are not talking about backing plates.More info to come later. Hmmmmm.....

I also asked about the Griots since that is what I have and he said he will have to look at the schematics and work on it.

I like the sound of "The Gearhead chainsaw engine mod"! I bet it would "cut fast" then.

So that would mean that a person would need to have two reasonably expensive machines to begin with. I`m thinkin` parts from the big one into the smaller one or the smaller rotating assembly onto the the more powerful machine. Once they`re finished they have one super machine and what else left over? Sounds expensive.

Was told the end results were a machine that exceeded expectations and another that was still better then the average da.

Edit! I retract my previous statement! Just seems silly to mess with the " Circuits and Resistors and such " in machines. Washer mod sure but internals ?!?!?!?
