    Gloss gauge?

So I was checking out Miracle Details newest video. At 3:51 into video Paul uses some type of tool to measure the gloss level. What the heck? So am I just behind on this tool, or is this some new device?

Yeah the "Gloss Meter"... In my opinion.. Your better off just lighting your cash on fire than buying one of these, its stupid.. Unless your eyesight is very poor and glasses are not known to you. Your eyes are the best "gloss meter" available.

When you make as much money as Paul Dalton, I think it makes sense.

Gloss meters are really cool. But the reality is most guys will never get to a point of needing or using one. If you get to that point you are really splitting hairs.

On most tests I have looked at they were proving that a rotary would polish out better and provide better gloss levels than a DA.

Gloss meter`s are cool, but just moving the machine 1 cm or holding it a SLIGHT angle and drastically change the results. Still a fun toy!

This tool looks very interesting. And ya, I think I`d rather spend that money on a paint depth reader and microscope.

never used a gloss gauge but out of all my toys (halogens, leds, fluroscents) I find my handheld brinkmann really shows your level of gloss (compared to the original paint with a tape line)
