Pinnacle XMT 360 Spray Wax Review

For this review, I`m going to share my observations using Pinnacle XMT 360 Spray Wax for the first time:

My first impression of XMT 360 Spray Wax is this stuff is super bubblegum pink in color. After a quick sniff, it smells like you’d expect - Eau de carnauba.

Instructions printed on the bottle are straightforward:



Prior to using XMT 360 Spray wax, I washed and dried my vehicle using Pinnacle XMT Gel Shampoo & Conditione​r:

Following the instructions, I:

• Choose a “small” 2x2ft area of paint
  
• Gave the bottle a good shake
• Pumped a few mists of wax
• Quickly spread it around with a Gold Plush microfiber towel
• Buffed with a separate Chinchilla microfiber towel
  

What’s left behind isn’t a stunning surface but a streaky smeared up mess! Ok, this is not what I’m expecting to see, what’s the deal?

Even though I was out of direct sun, spraying the wax on a cool clean and dry surface, the humidity was quite high at 90%:



By moving to a smaller “small” 1X1ft area I had enough time to apply the product, spread it evenly, and then buff it to a high shine.

From start to finish the whole process took about 15 minutes and ~1oz of wax was applied:





No wax review would be complete w/o at least one beading shot:



Critical observations: I`m not a fan of this style of spray bottle. I found it hard to hold, the top of the bottle quickly started to dimple, and by the end my hand slightly ached for pumping the atomizer. I`d much prefer a trigger style bottles as I find them far easier to use.

Conclusion: Overall I like XMT 360 Spray Wax. Once I took atmospheric conditions into account and dialed in the perfect “small” area XMT 360 Spray Wax was easy to use and left a very nice slick and glossy surface.

At $16.99 for a 12oz bottle 360 Spray Wax is competitively priced against most spray waxes available online. I look forward to using this spray wax as a maintenance step between major details.

But the price point is high. But seeing how the souvern did, i am sure they are two great products. I will wait for a BOGO.

Prior to XMT the last spray wax I used was Souveran and liked it a lot. But at $29.99 for 16oz it`s one of the pricier options.

Crystal mist is nice stuff, I`ve been playing with a sample of that for a few weeks now.

XMT Spray Wax is actually a really great spray wax, and often gets overlooked. Leaves a tremendous looks for a spray, and really is slick after application. One hell of a topper, I`d put it right up there against D156 myself!

The only negative is the bottle and sprayer it comes with, took that sprayer out right away and used another, not a fan of pump sprayers for things like this.

Thanks for the review, I haven`t used that product but the type of sprayer I am familiar with. I agree with you, for smaller areas like window sealant I like using it as it allows for more control. A spray wax I would prefer a normal sprayer. The XMT line always has some exotic colors!

That is first spray wax I`ve ever finished.

Great smell and easy to use, now working on my Optimum car wax and Ultimate spray wax.

This is my favorite spray wax. With the somewhat hard to use pump, it does atomize the wax so easy to spread and buff off - easier than some detailers.

I have both 360 spray wax and the souveran spray wax...the souveran spray wax is awesome! I have used the liquid souveran with great results as well.



I have also experienced many high spots or streaks being left (only seen this on black paints) when using this product in the direct sunlight, but I just had to do the same thing you did and dial in a smaller spot to spray inside of...but I agree with you on the sprayer, I would rather have a trigger sprayer...this fact alone has kept me from trying the xmt quick detailer as a drying aid.

Their 360 and Finishing Glaze are also great choices IMO.
