    Review Blackfire Rapidfire

    Review: BlackFire Rapidfire

    Products Used.
    BLACKFIRE Total Polish & Seal
Create WHIPLASH on paint, plastics, and metal!
    Pinnacle GlassWork Water Spot Remover
Pinnacle GlassCoat Window Sealant with Rain Repellent
    Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay

Rapidfire is a combination of Blackfire Total Polish and Seal, topped with Blackfire Crystal Seal. While in Ocala, FL I also detailed my parents 2006 Expedition. I wash this truck couple times a year, and never sees an automatic wash, so it’s in great condition.
Total time spent on this was 3 hours, with my brother and wifes help. Clayed with Pinnacle Poly Clay, then used my Megs GV110 with white CCS pads on speed of 4 to apply TPnS, after removing it I applied BFCS with MF applicator. For the windows I cleaned with Pinnacle waterspot remover and sealed with Pinnacle too.

First we washed and clayed the truck from top to bottom with Megs Gold class and tires with a APC.

    Befores

Claying: There was bunch of black dots on the roof and claying this took about 30 mins.

    After claying

    And the finished product

End results is the usual slick Blackfire finish with a wonderful glow on this silver SUV. Removing Blackfire TPnS is easy and I also use Blackfire Polymer Spray to help with removal. After letting it cure for a little bit I applied the BFCS, and spread with the blue cobra applicator.

Both Blackfire and Pinnacle have a great offering of detailing products. I like the choices you used to restore the finish on the Ford Expedition. The condition of the clay looks about right for a car that`s does not have a maintenance schedule.....and this is more common that you might think..

What a difference in the before and after photos!!

    Thanks for the write up.

You made a comment about TPns removal, did you spray the Polymer spray on the area after to used the TPnS and then wiped away?

Hey Al, I sprayed it after I applied TPnS, I got the Idea from Todd in the TPnS thread where he introduced the product. So I wiped TPnS and Poly spray at once.

    Found the quote from Todd.

"Yes BFWD can be applied directly on top. BFWD and BFTPS both use the same Wet Diamond polymers, so you will not get any degradation of the durability by using BFTPS first.

With an abrasive all-in-one you end up removing a trace amount (because the Wet Diamond polymers react with the abrasives, in this case a very small amount) of the sealant when you remove it. It`s simply unavoidable. Applying BFWD over the top will help fill in the gaps.

Alternatively you can wipe off the trace residue with the new BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray, which will increase the durability by placing polycharged Wet Diamond Polymers directly on top. These polymers will `fill in the gaps` so to speak and the products will cure together."

    Its Post 20 here
