Introduction:

Here in central Texas, it is another one of those difficult times of the year to detail. Not because of the heat (dc - I lived in SD for 6 years, it isn`t hot there - at any time! ), but because the trees are shedding. More than 10 seconds outside and your car is covered with leaves and stuff raining down. Trying a 2BM will fill your buckets with same - and not transferred from the car! So I`ve taken to a hybrid method: foam the car, pressure rinse it off, pull into the garage, air dry/leaf blow with MetroVac and then do the Garry Dean Wash Method (GDWM) rinseless wash. Did my car this morning and randomly pulled Dodo Juice Low on Eau as the rinseless wash du jur.

Add 3 capfuls of Dodo Juice Low On Eau Rinseless Wash per gallon of water in your wash bucket. For best results use two buckets, each with a Grit Guard ® insert at the bottom. Rinse your wash sponge or mitt in the second bucket after each panel. Wash and dry one panel at a time, starting with the top sections of the vehicle and working downward until the entire vehicle is clean and shiny. For more protection and gloss, lightly mist each panel with Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer during the final drying."

Other Products Used:

Pump sprayer (with ONR v2 because I was too lazy to empty it)
1x 2.5gal pail
1x 660 GSM MF (wash - car was pretty clean)
1x CG Shaggy Fur Ball MF (pre-drying)
1x 16x24 WW MF (final dry)

Preparation:

Instructions call for 200:1 dilution so I used 0.75oz in a gallon. I dumped my 660 GSM MF and Fur Ball in the pail and doused them with the Dodo Juice Low on Eau (LOE) mixture. Normally, I would have filled my sprayer with LOE but it is ragweed season, too, and wasn`t feeling it.

Foamed the car with CG Honeydew Snow Foam and pressure rinsed off. Pulled into the garage and blew off the new tree crap that fell on it in the time it took to pull it in.

Application:

I employed the aforementioned GDWM. Pre-sprayed the horizontal surfaces. Lightly wrung out the 660 GSM MF and gently wiped in 1 direction (snake pattern) across all horizontal surfaces. Pulled out the Fur Ball and tightly wrung out. Pre-dried with Fur Ball and final dried with WW. Repeat on vertical panels.

Observations:

Very pleasant scent. Car was pretty clean so can`t tell about the cleaning ability. (Have used it before and it is on par with the other rinseless products.) Nicely slick. Gorgeous finish. Kind of expensive.

Does it meet its claims? Yes.

Pros:

1.- Cleans very well
2.- Leaves no staining on MF
3.- Pleasant smell
4.- Beautiful finish.

Cons:

1.- Not as cost effective as other rinseless products.

Final Observations and Summary:

Wasn`t planning on writing this review this morning but was so pleased with the resulting finish I felt compelled to. This isn`t the most cost effective rinseless product on the market, but with the GDWM, the little you get will go a long way.

I only have BF Wet Diamond Rinseless Wash, CG Hose Free EcoWash, DDJ Low on Eau, Duragloss 931, ONR v3, ONR v2, DP RW&G and Megs Rinse Free Express Wash (+ UWWP, if you count it as a rinseless). With this meager selection, I think that responsibility will have to fall on someone with a more extensive collection.

Minor update: Used this same technique on my Tiburon but this time with ONR v2 (a little easier to see in jug). Car is protected with Cquartz + Reload and had the normal week`s daily driver stuff on it (bugs, dust, etc) but wasn`t too bad.

Time to wash, including foaming and cleanup: 45min
