Introduction:

This is my third review of products from the new Detailer`s Pro Aerosol series. The first two (DP Quick Wax & Trim Detailer) were very pleasant experiences. To recap, they are very quick applications, easy to use, great performing products. This one is a little different.

Leather seating is a costly option for most vehicles and without proper care, leather will crack, fade and tear over time. Preparation:

None really. I`d steamed the leather seats about a six weeks ago and wiped them with 1Z Cockpit Premium every couple of weeks after.

Application:

Apply to MF. Spread on leather. Allow to dry. Buff lightly (I used the flip side of the MF).

Observations:

Nice, leather smell. The foam seemed to just melt into the leather. After spreading, it didn`t look like there was anything to buff off. Spreads reasonably far. Matte finish. My seats were pretty clean so can`t assess the cleaning power but will try on dirtier seats at the next opportunity (probably the next car ). Will update.

I took pictures but the differences are not readily apparent.

Does it meet its claims? Yes.

Pros:

1.- Easy to apply and remove
2.- Very fast application
3.- Matte finish
4.- Leather smell

???:

1.- Durability. I don`t know but will monitor.

Cons:

1.- None I`ve found.

Final Observations and Summary:

So how was it different than the other DP aerosols or was I just messing with Stig? The other DP products are more your traditional aerosol product. You spray DP Quick Wax or Trim Detailer on the surface and wipe off. DP Leather Cleaner & Conditioner is more like shaving cream and you wipe it on, let dry (almost immediate) & then buff off. It is in a smaller can, too. Otherwise, DP Leather Cleaner & Conditioner has the good traits of the line - easy, fast application & great look.

And I was messing with Stig, too.

Those are some sweet briefcases! Thanks for the website. Going to have to look into those. (I live in Texas after all. )

No, it didn`t darken the leather and added very little to no gloss. I couldn`t tell from the website if the leather is coated. I suspect it is because it said the color wouldn`t transfer. I would think the standard "no" would apply if it isn`t coated but maybe Stig can answer better.

It`s a full grain non coated leather...no finer anywhere.....thick, saddle type leather.....looking for an AIO..i`ll order up

I may look into this as I find that leather creams tend to want to "fill" my perforated leather seats.

I did a car that had dirt buried into the leather some time back. I wonder about products like this, if they would work effectively.

I have on hand leathique and lexol, that only removed minor amounts of grime...what ended up working to get it all clean was a 10 to 1 of PB APC with a boars hair brush. APC is NOT my first choice in fact its always the last but in this case the first two was not working.

For really dirty leather, I have been using Lexol and my Dupray steamer. Extremely effective. However, next one I get that is really dirty, will try it.

Great review.

Just got a chance to try out my can. We have a new family hauler and the seats were pretty clean, so I can`t really comment on cleaning ability yet. But it did make short work of a dark smudge I found on an armrest.
One thing I noticed about it that I didn`t see mentioned in your review, was that it added absolutely no slipperiness at all. Not even a little bit, was wondering if you found the same.

I agree with your comments on the smell BTW, very nice and subtle.

this is one of the best products i have used this year. after my first can, i ordered two more. got them in this weekend.
