PB Polish Comparison help - 08-30-2010, 09:07 PM

Just wanted to get a sense of the strength of some of the PB polishes and pad combinations (especially since I ran out of SSR1...) since I wanted to try and polish the car this weekend

I have LC white and yellow pads and some SSR2 (a little bit, I don't think enough to do the whole car), a little Pro Polish (definitely not enough to do the whole car), SSR2.5, and PwS. The car isn't in terrible shape, but does have some swirls and water etching (the yellow pad and PwS did not remove the water etching the other weekend...).

I don't want to be too aggressive, but most of what I have left is fairly aggressive stuff or too light. Just curious how some product/pad combos relate, like is SSR2.5/white pad more aggressive than SSR1/yellow pad? I was on vacation so I wasn't able to order anything in time for the weekend.

TIA,
Neil

If you have a little bit of propolish you have enough...trust me a little goes a LONG LONG way or else you'll be wearing it..

Anyways propolish is pad dependent where the SSR's a not so much so.

So if you put SSR 1 on a yellow pad your going to get your pad doing most of the work making a mess and not braking down the polish right..

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It's good to be da King !!!
