turtle wax ice polish - 02-17-2010, 06:43 PM

has anyone tried that new turtle wax ice polish? it comes in liquid & paste form. the liquid is like 100% watery & it's crystal clear. i wonder how good the stuff is. i currently use liquid glass & it's the best i have used so far....

Ice new ?!?!?!?!

Yes I have used it. It does a great job in the garbage.

Looks pretty good, till the first rain or wash.

ya i figured that as much. the liquid stuff looks too watery to be of any good. i guess i'll just stick to liquid glass. it's expensive for a reason....

Keep in mind just how thin a layer of anything you use actually leaves behind on the car. It's very, very thin. Don't let a watery appearance fool you. Duragloss Aquawax is liquid, and I believe it leaves behind protection. Lots of folks offer a spray sealant and/or wax that does a good job of leaving protection behind.

I don't believe in grit guards.

True, but alas isn't this the story of our lives? Mike Phillips uses a saying in his signature which touches on this very topic. Check it out, it has that ring of truth to it.
