Thumbs up M105 & ohc combo.... - 01-11-2010, 08:32 PM

Hello everyone,
wanted to see if anyones used this combo and has any suggestions on improvement. I use to use M105 by itself but on certain days and cars it would flash, dust immediatly. So what I've been doing lately is doing two lines of each M105 & OHC to combat this problem. I was wondering if someone has a suggestion for a product that has the same or close to the workability of OHC and has the same or close to the cut M105 so I don't have to combine two seperate products. I would greatly appreciate any input.
My process as it sits...

M105 worked with rotary and Meguiars Burgundy cutting pad

3M Perfect III Machine Polish with rotary and UK version Yellow pad

3M Perfect III Ultra Fina Polish with rotary and UK version Blue pad

RMG with PC and Black LC pad

Soverane Liquid was with PC and Blue LC pad

Thank you so much for any suggestions on the initial cutting/ rough polish alternative to M105 used with OHC combo.

I use M105 and don't really find the work time much of an issue. What I might suggest is the following make sure you are priming the pad properly, make sure you ate working in the shade and our of direct sunlight, have a spray bottle of just water handy and give the 105 a spray when you feel like it is flashing just be careful not to work it too much. The dusting just is what 105 and 205 due so there is nothing much you can do about it. I would generally stay away from mixing mfr's like that as you don't know what you are compromising.

Thank you for the feedback... I was looking to switch to a single product that might be somewhere in between or better cutting then the M105 with a little more work time and less dusting without having to use two products.

Get some Gloss-It EVP Pad Prime, I hear it will make working time of M105 and M205 longer and dust much less. Should be getting a bottle here soon and will be trying it out myself.

Or you could try a few drops of mineral oil or paraffin wax.
