leather gets shiney - 11-16-2009, 08:08 AM

on the driver seat of my 08 Trailblazer with leather one side of the butt part is getting shiney (it's where I get in) is that a cleaning thing or is the friction of my ass polishing the vinyl coating the leather?

Good question and one I have never asked myself. I would guess the coating on the seat is wearing and it has reached a shiny layer or yes you have been polishing it.

Generally shiny leather is a result of sweat and body oils I believe. A strong leather cleaner or some APC.
