Color X - 10-19-2009, 05:16 PM

I recommended color x to a female friend who wanted a easy to use quality product. She has a white dodge stratus 2004, when she got I look half way decent. She got the color x and I went over to show her the proper way to wax by hand. She liked the way the product performed easy on & off great results. I just did the trunk area, back bumper and rear quarters, I left the rest up to her. When I went over a week later the car was in the garage and looked fabulous. The white paint the was half way decent was glossy and wet looking, this car really looked great for a by hand wax job. The car had no prep, no clay no polish I would have clayed and probably used meguiars # 80 or swirl x since the finish was not that beat up. But she just wanted a one step deal that was easy and produced great results. Color x worked great for this application. I was impressed with the end result for a one step product. This is a great one step product.

I thought color x was abrasive? I am not sure but I think color x is a AIO type product.
It cleans, polishes, and leaves some protection. If you used or applied it like a wax, you probably did very little polishing, but a little more cleaning and protection. Cleaning up light colors, such as white silver etc, could make a huge diff. even if some swirls remain.

I've used ColorX with a G100 many times, and it does a great job in my opinion.

You can wipe it off before it dries, just like a paint prep product, and top it with your favorite wax.
